Pumpkins for the Planet

PumpkinFest will be the largest local sustainability party in Ottawa South.

  • Don’t throw out your pumpkins; bring them to a Pumpkins-for-the-Planet collection sites for reuse!

  • Collections begin Sunday, November 1st, and continue to Sunday, November 8th

  • Consider ways to decorate your pumpkins without carving—this preserves the whole pumpkin for reuse and maximum sustainability 

  • Join us at the Pumpkin Alley and Fall Sustainability Fair at Ernie Crist Park On Sunday, Nov 8th, from noon to 4pm, to celebrate our pumpkin collections, support food kitchens and local farms, and find out more about putting local sustainability in action.
